Thought this maybe useful for some of our members:-

The childcare Act does put responsibility on the LA to make sure there is sufficient childcare available and that includes disabled children, every childcare provider is also covered under the Equality Act therefore has certain duties under the law and should not discriminate. I have attached our ‘Moving into work’ guide which also gives information about childcare and accessing support through social services.
