Here is a little bit of information about us.

Congleton Youth in Action is a registered charity and provides a service to young people with various special needs aged between 5- 18 years old. We organise day activities and activity days every half-term and a summer play scheme for a week in the school holidays. These activities include art, craft, drama, cooking, music, day trips and many more.

All our staff are DBS (enhanced) cleared, first aid trained and child protection trained.  At each event we have staff and volunteers that work with our young people on a 1:1 or a 2:1 if extra support is needed. By using young volunteers aged 14 years and above it gives a young person with a disability a chance to be with children their own age.

We are unique compared to other organisations in Cheshire East for example we provide personal care, parents/carers don’t need to attend, young people can start from the age of 5 years old and we are able to administer medication (where needed).

We cover the Congleton and District area, mainly consisting of Congleton, Sandbach, Alsager, Middlewich, Mow Cop, but young people outside of those areas who are interested in attending YIA activities, may still be eligible, and should get in contact with us.
