PARENT/CARER WORKSHOP
“Supporting and managing meltdowns and closedowns”
Given by Geoff Evans and Living Autism
with their Grant From the Innovation Fund
In this training session Geoff explores what contributes to children and adults with autism experiencing meltdowns and close downs.
Using practical exercises we will identify what is happening to the individual with autism and those close to them at each stage of the meltdown.
This will be followed by discussion to identifying practical strategies to support all involved at each stage. Geoff will draw upon his experience gained over the past thirty years as well as those with autism to illustrate the talk
