This is our last meeting before Christmas so would be great to see as many parents/carers there as possible as it is our AGM and we need parent voices to see what you would like us to be doing over the next 12 months.

SPACE4AUTISM
YOGA AND MINDFULNESS CLASSES
This is a new club being held at our HQ every other Wednesday evening and given by Kay Locke who has taught Yoga for many years focussing on special needs.
The sessions are for parents/carers and their children/teenagers but we do ask that your children are aged 6yrs+ to attend. Children can participate however we do understand that some may not want too, so we will have quiet games for them to play whilst the group does Yoga.
Arrive 7.00am to settle in
Yoga 7.15pm
Relax and refreshments 8.15pm
Finish 8.30pm

These sessions are being partially funded by Space4Autism to keep the cost to parents/carers down

WORKSHOPS AND EVENTS
NO WORKSHOPS THIS MONTH HOWEVER WE MAY OPEN DURING THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS FOR OUR DROP IN SESSIONS – WILL CONFIRM ASAP
A NOTE FROM THE CHAIR AND TRUSTEES
Well it is our AGM this month and we have been so busy during 2013-2014, we have moved into our new HQ which has been a fantastic achievement, we have delivered various workshops and had some great family fun days. We are hoping to offer more services during 2014-2015 and hopefully will be able to run some more clubs from the beginning of next year. For this to happen we really need YOUR input on what type of services you want us to deliver. Is there something that you feel that we could offer in the way of help to either yourself, your family, your children??
Please try and come to the AGM as we need to hear your voices as I am sure you have lots of ideas.
Our fundraising from our members has been amazing and we Senior Aerospace Staff and families have raised just short of £3k from the Stockport 10k, we will be arranging to go and say a huge thank you to them soon so we will be asking for some parents and children to come along.
Our Body Shop Party last month raised £130 which is great and thanks to everyone who attended, don’t forget our next Christmas Shopping night of Tuesday 11th November when we will be holding our Partylite Candle Party, everyone welcome.
We are still waiting to hear if we have been successful in a bid that we put in the other for the Youth workshops once again, fingers crossed we get it and then we can start putting these vital days together. These will be offered to 14 youths who already attend our youth group but we cannot give more information until we hear if we have got the Grant. We are also waiting to hear if Living Autism has been successful in their bid to deliver workshops to our parents/parents so again once we hear back from them if they have been awarded the grant we will be getting busy sending out dates.
A huge thank you to everyone who has helped Space4Autism get to where we are and we are hoping to have a big Christmas get together at Lowe Street in December – watch this Space for details.
