“In the Drivers Seat”
Given by Alison Douglas
Alison is a young woman with Aspergers Syndrome. She was diagnosed at the age of 13 in Eindhoven, Holland. Alison is able to give a unique insight, not only into how autism has affected her, but how many of the young people we support struggle with everyday things such as school and coping with anxiety and bullies. Alison’s reflections on her own life and her own triumphs offer guidance on how we all can better approach those individuals that we support. Alison will be more than happy to take questions at the end of her presentation“
