How will this affect you?
The Children and Families Act is going to result in a huge change to the law around SEN. Understanding this change is crucial for all those who have or care for a child with a learning disability aged 0-25. The new SEN legal system under the Act will start coming into force from September 2014.
We are pleased to welcome Martin Howlett to come and speak to us.
Martin is a Director of Operations for the Youth Federation and also works for AfA on the implementation of the new Code and 2014 Bill. As Space4Autism is a member of the Youth Federation, Martin has agreed to share his views on the new Bill and the implications for Parents and the charity. Martin Howlett has worked on the implementation of the 2014 Children and Families Act and new SEND Code of Practice training pathfinder Local Authorities in the implications for workforce and systems in relation to parents and Carers.
