PARENT/CARER WORKSHOP
“Keeping children and adolescents safe in the community”
Given by Geoff Evans and Living Autism
with their Grant From the Innovation Fund
With the growing emphasis upon inclusion and independence for individuals on the spectrum it is vitally important that the issues around staying safe are fully explored and strategies are identified and implemented.
This presentation seeks to firstly identify what makes staying safe difficult for individuals with autism before exploring practical strategies that can be used by the individual with autism their parents and carers.
Specific areas covered include staying safe at home, in the community, in relationships and when using technology. The training will enable those who wish to develop a Staying Safe Guide for those they support.
Saturday 28th February 2015
10.00 – 1.00pm

Note: This workshop is fully funded (so free to attend) by Living Autism as they were successful in gaining a grant on our behalf– if you do book and cannot make it please let us know asap so we can fill your place.
