My name is Samantha Lakin and I am currently in my final year at Manchester Metropolitan University studying for a BA (Hons) Degree in Education.
As part of my Practitioner Research, I wish to conduct a study exploring the realities of including children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) within mainstream schools. I aim to explore the views from other parents’ perspectives and this will form part of my dissertation.
I have a vested interest in this subject, being a parent myself of a 13 year old boy with diagnoses of Asperger Syndrome and ADHD. I am also a member of the parent support group SPACE4AUTISM where I find the information, advice and support provided to be invaluable.
