Dear Members

As some of you may be aware one of our founder Trustees, Julie Alexander, is stepping down from her role at the end of March 2014.

Julie was instrumental in gaining our 1st funding stream from East Cheshire Council to enable us to set up and run Space for Kids, something that has gone from strength to strength with Space4Autism now running 3 children and teenage clubs, but without the 1st seed being sown we would not be where we are today.  She also worked incredibly hard in setting Space4autism up as a registered charity.

Julie has worked tirelessly over the past 8 years not only in her role as Trustee but she has also spent time as our Treasurer, helping at Space for Kids and Fun Friday as well as residential trips.  She has been instrumental in a number of bids as well as organising and helping at numerous fundraising events, and much much more

As you can see Julie’s Trustee place will be hard to fill and her enthusiasm and support will be duly missed by our small team of trustees.

However this is not a goodbye from Julie as she will continue to support us and I’m sure you will see her at our fundraising events particularly as her bag packing skills are second to none!

I’m sure everyone involved with Space4Autism would like to thank Julie for all her hard work and support as a Trustee and wish her all the best for the future with her new ventures.
From
Kay Wiss – Chair
On behalf of the Trustees of Space4Autism
