We would like to introduce a new team within Cheshire East, the ‘Children with Disabilities Short Breaks Team’.
The team has been developed to streamline services for children/young people and families at Early Help level who access short breaks and to have a point of contact for enquiries and support.
The team consists of a Team Manager, Cat Linde and four Family Support Workers, Rachel Barker, Lisa Eyres, Eric Hasleden and Rafiah Zubair and will cover both North and South localities. We all come from a background of working with children with disabilities and are really excited to be working within this new team and with you and your children.
We would like to invite all parent carers to a coffee morning on Friday 2nd February where you will have an opportunity to meet the team and also our short break providers who will be able to provide you with information on the clubs and activities they run across Cheshire East.
Representatives from the Children with Disabilities Social Care team will also be attending.
The coffee morning will be a drop in session from 10:00 until 12:00 and will be held at Space 4 Autism, The Space Centre, 15-17 Mill Lane, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 7NN. There are plenty of car parks nearby.
