I am sharing information about The Empowerment Programme Event – see attached. The event is a Careers Fair that is a joint collaboration between NHS Trusts across Merseyside and Cheshire and Universities. The aim is to assist students on the autism spectrum and inform them about the support available if they go to University and the breadth of careers available with the NHS.
Who should attend?
· Education professionals – especially those in secondary and further education that directly support students on the spectrum
· 16 – 18 year olds with careers aspirations to go to university
· Parents or guardians that would like to speak to someone face to face about how their child would be supported at university and information about the different types of careers in the NHS
