Call for SEND case studies – deadline 7th February 2020

Hello

Following the approval of our SEND QA framework I am keen to pull together examples of good practice within SEND that we can both celebrate and use to model good practice and further improve service delivery.

We are keen to celebrate examples of where services has improved since the inspection in March 2018, demonstrating key learnings and what good looks like, whilst recognising that we have still more to do and acknowledging there are a number of cases where practice is not as good as we would like.

So – do you know of a child or young person who has received timely and positive experiences of the education, health and care (EHC) needs assessment process?

Are there examples of effective and timely EP or CEAT advice which has supported a young person in school?

Have you an example of an improved EHC plan which sets out provision more clearly and has begun to make a positive difference to a child or young person?

Do you know of a child or young person who has received a timely autism diagnosis and/or who is receiving timely, appropriate support either pre or post-diagnosis?

We want to hear from you. We would like case studies to focus on the impact on the child or young person and we’d like to see examples from different ages within the 0-25 years age range.

All case studies will be treated with strictest confidence and anonymised before any publication.

Please help us by completing the attached template and return to SENDPartnerships@cheshireeast.gov.uk before 7th February 2020.

Going forward, we will be gathering case studies routinely and therefore ask that you continue to consider capturing good case examples using this format as part of your day-to-day work. Please send all future case examples to SENDPartnerships@cheshireeast.gov.uk.

Thank you
