The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

2nd June 2018

Space4Autism has been awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, thank you to all who volunteer for us. This is a prestigious award, the MBE for volunteer groups, it is a big pat on the back for all of our members who volunteer their help on a regular basis. We would not be able to run our services without this support and we are thrilled that your contribution to the running of Space4Autism is being formally recognised.

The award will be presented shortly, and we will be inviting you to attend a Space4Autism celebration at that time.

Cheryl, as our CEO, will be attending Buckingham Palace for a garden party (will that be a new hat? – you bet!). She will be accompanied by her husband, Rick (ex- chairman) – who doubles as a regular volunteer. We wish them both all the best on a very exciting day and look forward to seeing the photos and hearing the stories.

Thank you from myself and all the trustees, the volunteers allow the charity to function and, along with the staff as the backbone, have made Space4Autism what it is today.

Thank you. I can’t stop smiling.

Chair and HR Trustee. Space4Autism
