The Cheshire East Parent Carer Forum are currently looking into putting on a one day training course for parents provided by IPSEA. IPSEA (Independent Parental Special Education Advice) offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities.
The training course would provide an overview of the law relating to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (“SEN”). The main focus will be around EHC plans. I have included a link below which explains what would be covered in more detail.
We want to try and gauge the level of interest for this course so if you would be interested in attending please reply to this email. Please note that there would be no charge for the course, lunch would be provided and all travel expenses would be reimbursed. The course would be held within school hours.
