Training and Café Chef/Cook

(mainly day time shifts but occasional evenings and weekends)

39hr per week, £20,500 per annum

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and fully qualified chef to assist in the running of our Space4Autism (S4A) Café.

As well as catering for our lunch and afterschool trade, you will also deliver training to our Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) children and adults along with cookery classes to our parent/carers.

The successful applicant will have previous experience in the following areas:-

Ø  At least 5yrs experience working in a senior role within a kitchen

Ø  Setting menus and food pricing (including vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options)

Ø  Ordering and monitoring supplies

Ø  Delivering training and cookery classes

Ø  Attention to detail is a must and you must be able to cook a variety of dishes for our fundraising evenings ie Indian, Chinese etc. 

Ø  We want someone with creativity and passion to help us produce innovative dishes and enhance the overall dining experience.

The successful applicant must have the following attributes: –

Ø  Passionate about food

Ø  Be front facing (as our kitchen is open plan)

Ø  Reliable and hard working

Ø  A knowledge of ASC would be preferable or willing to be trained

Ø  Should have a passion for helping and developing cooking skills through a variety of planned activities

Ø  We are looking for individuals who can work as part of our small team, be calm, welcoming and a good listener.
